"When they saw the star, they were overjoyed." — Matthew 2:10

The Magi’s journey was long, uncertain, and filled with challenges. Yet when they saw the star, their hearts overflowed with joy. Why? Because the star confirmed that they were exactly where God wanted them to be. For women today, this verse is more than a story — it’s a reminder that God still places guiding lights in our lives, leading us toward His purpose.
The Star as God’s Guidance
The star was not just a celestial event; it was a divine signal. The Magi trusted it, followed it, and rejoiced when it led them to Christ. In the same way, women are called to follow the “stars” God places before us — His Word, His Spirit, and His providential signs.
Gold: Symbol of leadership and influence. Where is God calling you to step into authority in 2026?
Frankincense: Symbol of worship. How will you deepen your spiritual life and devotion this year?
Myrrh: Symbol of sacrifice. What habits, distractions, or fears must you lay down to grow?
Application for Women Today
Women often juggle multiple roles — professional, family, ministry, personal growth. The Magi reminds us that joy comes not from doing everything, but from following the right path.
Identity: You are not defined by culture’s expectations but by God’s calling.
Perseverance: Like the Magi, expect obstacles, but keep your eyes fixed on the light.
Joy: True joy is found when your vision aligns with God’s plan.
Vision Planning for 2026
Here’s a practical framework to help women plan their year with faith:
Pray — Ask God to reveal His “star” for your life in 2026.
Plan — Write down 3–5 goals that align with His calling.
Prepare — Identify resources, mentors, or disciplines needed to walk this path.
Persevere — Commit to pressing forward even when challenges arise.
Praise — Celebrate milestones with gratitude, knowing God is guiding you.
Closing Encouragement
The Magi’s joy was not just about reaching Bethlehem — it was about realizing they were walking in God’s will. As you step into 2026, may you follow His guiding star with courage, plan your vision with faith, and rejoice in the journey He has set before you.
"Sisters, may 2026 be the year you see God’s star, follow His path, and overflow with joy."
Devotional Prayer
Heavenly Father, Thank You for the guiding star that led the Magi to Jesus. In the same way, lead us as women to follow Your light in 2026. Help us to trust Your direction, even when the journey feels long or uncertain. Give us courage to step into the roles You’ve prepared, devotion to worship You with our whole hearts, and strength to lay down what no longer serves Your purpose. May our plans align with Your vision, and may our joy overflow as we walk in Your will.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
