Obedience Creates Overflow

So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil. Then he said, “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors—empty vessels; do not gather just a few. 2nd Kings 4:2-3

Yesterday was more than an event—it was a moment of alignment.

As I reflect on the success of the vision board gathering I organized, I am reminded of the biblical story of the widow and Elisha. She had very little—just a jar of oil. What she did have, though, was a willingness to obey. She borrowed the jars. She poured. And the oil flowed until there were no more containers left.

That story came alive for me yesterday.

For years, I have prayed for multiple streams of income, for clarity around my purpose, and for the confidence to step fully into what God has placed in my hands. What I have learned is this: prayer prepares you, but obedience positions you.

The Power of a Supportive Community

I could not have done this alone.

It took a community—friends who showed up, women who believed in the vision, and a mentor who refused to let fear disguise itself as logic. She did not entertain excuses. She did not allow hesitation. She insisted that I host my first paid event, even when I questioned myself.

Looking back, I see that her push was love in action.

Sometimes obedience comes through people who see more in us than we see in ourselves.

When Faith Meets Action

Had the widow questioned every instruction, the oil would have stopped before it ever started. In the same way, had I waited until everything felt “perfect,” yesterday would never have happened.

Instead, I showed up.I trusted.I acted.

And what flowed was not just provision—it was confidence, confirmation, and clarity.

This Is Only the Beginning

Yesterday marked the beginning of something new for me: the development of real business skills, the courage to charge for what I carry, and the visible unfolding of prayers I once whispered quietly to God.

Overflow does not always start with abundance.Sometimes it starts with obedience.

And sometimes, the miracle begins the moment you say yes.

I am carrying this same spirit of obedience and gratitude into my book signing event on February 7th, trusting that this is only the beginning.
