When Women Connect, Miracles Leap

“Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age… and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month.” — Luke 1:36

I have always loved the Christmas season. There’s something about returning to the gospel accounts of Jesus’ birth that stirs my heart every year. But lately, the story of Mary and Elizabeth has taken on deeper meaning. It’s more than a miracle story—it’s a mentorship story, a sisterhood story, a reminder that God uses connection to help us grow.

I once heard someone say,  “If you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re in the wrong room.” Mary and Elizabeth prove this truth beautifully.

When the angel told Mary that Elizabeth was also expecting, he wasn’t just giving information—he was pointing Mary toward support. He was showing her that God had already prepared someone walking through a similar miracle. Mary responded with obedience and traveled to see Elizabeth. And the moment she arrived, Scripture says the baby leaped in Elizabeth’s womb.

That moment has always spoken to me. To me, that’s the heart of mentorship—two women walking together through the unfamiliar, encouraging the God-given purpose inside each other to leap.

Mary needed Elizabeth. Elizabeth needed Mary. And we, as women, need each other too.

This story is especially important to me in this season of my life. I have had the privilege of connecting deeply with six incredible women as we prepare to release our book together.

Each of us carries our own testimony, our own healing journey, our own miracle. Yet when we came together, something shifted—something leaped.

Ideas leaped. Courage leaped. Purpose leaped. Healing leaped. Boldness leaped.

Just like Mary and Elizabeth, God brought us into the same “room” at the same time—not by accident, but for purpose. We discovered that none of us were meant to birth our calling alone. Our stories are different, but our mission is the same: to transform pain into purpose and to remind other women that they, too, are fearfully and wonderfully made.

This Christmas, I am reminded that God still uses relationships to awaken what He has placed inside of us. He still orchestrates divine connections. He still brings people into our lives who help the calling in us leap again.

So I want to ask you—Who are you connected with in this season? Who makes the purpose inside you leap? Who is walking with you as God births something new in your life?

We grow stronger together. We rise higher together. And when God joins women for His purpose, miracles always leap.
